Charter Commission Approves Proposed Charter

On Tuesday, June 28th, the Keystone Charter Commission approved the proposed Keystone Home Rule Charter in a 9-0 vote.  The proposed Charter has now been forwarded to the Keystone Election Commission.  The Election Commission is scheduled to meet on Thursday, June 29th at which time they are expected to set a date for the election to vote on the Charter.  As per state statute time requirements, the election date will likely be sometime in September.   Only registered voters in Keystone are eligible to vote on the Charter.
