Charter Commission Town Halls/Public Hearings

Official Notice

The public is invited to participate in a Public Hearing sponsored by the Charter Commission for the Town of Keystone.  The purpose of the Public Hearing is to get public reaction and input on the draft of the full Charter.  

Format of the Public Hearing:

  • Short presentation on the content of the Charter and the process used.
  • Ground Rules for Public Comment/Question Period
  • Public Comment/Question Period
    • Individuals will be limited to two minutes to make a comment and/or ask a question.
    • If an individual wishes to make a second comment or ask a second question they must go to the back of the line.
    • We will alternate between in-person participants and on-line participants.

Monday, May 22nd

The public is invited to participate in the first Town Hall sponsored by the Charter Commission for the Town of Keystone.  The purpose of the Town Hall is to get public input for the Commission as they work through the process of drafting the Charter.  Please note that this Town Hall is NOT a Question and Answer session and the Charter Commission will be present to listen to the input from the public, but will not be fielding questions at this time.

Comments will be limited to two minutes per person per topic.  The specific topics that the Commission is seeking input on are 1) Structure of Town Government, and 2) Non-Resident Participation in the Town.  Below is a link to a complete copy of the agenda with more specifics about the topics for input and ground rules for the meeting.
